I’m a writer and editor specializing in food, drink, travel, and all the other things that make life fun. I contribute regularly to a wide range of local and national print and online publications. I’m also the managing editor at The Whiskey Wash, an award-winning website about the world’s favorite brown spirit. In 2017, I won the Alan Lodge Young Drinks Writer of the Year award. You can check out some of my journalism and editorial work on my Portfolio page.
When I'm not working on stories, I help businesses and nonprofits grow by writing business and development plans, grant proposals, and commercial copy, with a special focus on groups related to food or agriculture in some way. One of the ways I do that is as an Associate at A to Be Partners, a development consultancy providing tailored support to nonprofit organizations of every size. I also work directly with a wide range of business clients, from major international corporations to startups and small businesses.
I attended Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where I still live. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, cooking, and walking long distances.
